I've come across from Crochetville so HI! Very sweet little martian dude. I was wondering what process are you going through writing down your pattern? I've made a coupla my own designs and scribbled down the pattern as I went along, but am unsure where to start with writing my own pattern. Just wondering how you're going about it?
Hi Mandy... So I basically just write down the stitches as I go the first time around [my paper can sure get messy from changes and such]. Then I work out my pattern to see if it works, make changes if necessary, and try out new color combos. If I make a lot of changes I work out the pattern again. I know some designers find testers for their designs, but I just redid this one myself. Hope that helps!
Thanks. I'm sure that's do-able... just got to 'go for it'. I loved your comfy hooks (I've got lots of FIMO from when I was polymer-crazy)I might have a go at making one too. Mandy (UK)
Ok well I finally wrote up my own pattern (thanks for the confidence boost). It's a crochet butterfly posted on the Crochetville Site Free Original Patterns. What do you think? Mandy (UK)
